Faces of Inspiration
Faces of Inspiration is a series of portraits that explores what inspires young college students to pursue their goals. The project features eight traditional portraits all shot on 35mm film, the work was shot on film to reflect the natural and personal message that the series conveys. Before their photo was taken, each subject was asked the same 2 questions regarding inspiration. The questions were “Who or what inspires you to pursue your goals in life? Why does it/they inspire you to push yourself?”
The goals that the subjects are pursuing remains a mystery because I believe it's not about how big or small or difficult your goals are in life. What’s more important is what compels you to achieve them. Whatever it is in your own life that pushes you to follow your dreams, whether that’s a loved one, a book, or the love of a sport, it’s something that you value, and if you care enough about that person or thing to achieve your goals, that’s an amazing value to have in your life.
